This edition by Cory Arcangel unfolds a fascinating interplay of light and time. Depending on the time of day and the angle of light, the surface transforms – sometimes softly shimmering, sometimes vividly glowing.
Inspired by the idea of the readymade, Cory Arcangel began using existing Photoshop elements artistically, leading to his well-known Photoshop Gradient Demonstrations series. For this work, (RR), he used "Russell's Rainbow," a pre-installed color gradient. As early as around 2010, Arcangel experimented with printing on mirrors but encountered technical challenges. It was only through collaboration with Schellmann Art that the project was eventually realized and completed as an edition.
