Quoted Use #1-8, 2019

This project appropriates personal objects and furniture used by influential cultural figures Kosuth has often quoted in his work: Jane Austen, Samuel Beckett, Simone de Beauvoir, Charles Darwin, Marcel Duchamp, Albert Einstein, Søren Kierkegaard and Virginia Woolf. The original objects were investigated, quasi-scholarly studied, measured, and reproduced by hand with various suited craftsmen in the original materials, then painted gray and waxed or reproduced in gray instead of colors.
Edition of 3 + 2 A.P., each work is accompanied by a metal plaque with individual laser signature, numbered.
