Jean-Marc Bustamante is one of the most important French artists of his generation. From 1987 on, Bustamante has created abstract sculptures and objects, mainly out of steel, glass, metal, and red lead paint, with which he set forth his contemplation on the interrelations between sculpture, furniture, image, and space. A fundamental theme in his work is the connection between theoretical, abstract space and real space in nature and architecture. Jean-Marc Bustamante lives and works in Paris.
